How the system saves energy

Conventional systems use a lot of power to compress refrigerant, then lose that power when the refrigerant is expanded through a nozzle. The Miser doesn’t use a refrigerant: Instead, it uses air as the working fluid. Air is compressed, which increases its pressure and temperature. It is then cooled and, because it is still at higher pressure, can be used to help compress more air. That is impractical In conventional systems because the refrigerant is a liquid. How Miser gets free ventilation

Getting fresh air into your space with conventional air conditioning is expensive because air, brought in from outside, must be heated or cooled to the appropriate temperature. The Miser neatly overcomes this problem by removing some air after the initial expansion or compression and replacing it with the equivalent amount of fresh air. Then, after passing through the heat exchanger, the air is the same whether or not fresh air has been introduced. Therefore, there is no significant cost for ventilation.
Most of the power required to introduce air in the cooling cycle, where the air is above atmospheric
pressure, is supplied when air is bled from the stream. A similar process is used in the heating cycle.
Why are the shares so cheap?

The Miser does not yet have a working prototype. This funding round is to speed up the development of the prototype and to have it certified by independent consulting engineers. When it is proven to be as energy saving as we expect another round of fundraising will be launched to enable commercialisation. In that round shares will be much more expensive. We are confident that people who invest now will get significant capital gains within approximately 12 months.
How the Miser saves space
The Miser uses the Bell-Coleman cycle which requires a large volume of air to be treated. To treat a large volume of air with a small machine the Miser uses a gerotor which uses the same space ove and over again.

The red items are the outer rotor, the gaps between them indicating the inlet / outlet ports. The green item is the inner rotor and the blue represents the outer casing. The black item is an adjustable slide to control the degree of expansion. The compression chamber works is a similar way.

Why Hasn’t This Been Done Before?

The Miser uses a thermodynamic cycle called the Bell-Coleman cycle. There have been many attempts over the years to use the Bell-Coleman cycle for air conditioning. Mostly they have used a turbine to overcome the problem of treating a large volume of air with a small machine. But turbines themselves have inefficiencies and they don’t allow for the fine control that is needed achieve high efficiencies. The combination of a gerotor and variable volume chambers, that the Miser uses to optimise efficiency, has never been done before, which is why the US patents office has granted us a patent.
